September Meeting, Lunch and Ride |

The Heart of Dixie Victory Riders held their 1st meeting as an official chapter Saturday, September 8th. We had several of the members, including our president, that made the long trip from other parts of Alabama and Tennessee. Thanks guys for coming up and down as the case may be. The meeting was held at Rocket City Powersports (local area Victory dealer) in Madison, AL. Thanks Scott!
It really felt good to see the club starting to gel and become more than just an idea. I know a lot of the guys who have been wanting this for a few years now felt a sense of accomplishment. |

Once everyone got there and got the meeting going it lasted about an hour while we took care of some business. With the meeting out of the way we then got down to the real business at hand; deciding where we were going for lunch. I can see right now we are a club full of eaters. Can’t say anything bad about that. Karen and I suggested we go to a staple in our area here called Greenbrier Restaurant. Since no other suggestion was made, Greenbrier it was; and since we made the suggestion, we were elected to lead the way. |

Greenbrier is just a few miles from the shop and in no time we were gathered around the table drinking sweet tea and munchin’ on hush puppies. The food was good and so was the company.
After our nice lunch we decided to take a little ride with the guys from down South taking a few back roads in the direction of their ride home. Jeff lead the way as we all fell in behind him. I don’t know about the rest of you guys but the stretch down I-65 was a bit windy. None the less, even though a short one, it was a nice first ride. |

I think Jeff said it best; “It’s kinda nice getting to ride with a bunch of Victory’s for a change!” I couldn’t agree more. Guy’s, I think we’ve hit on something here. It may take us a while to build this thing up but I believe we’ve made a good start and with time it’s only going to get better. I’m already looking forward to the next chapter ride. Ya’ll ride safe! |
